Financial Management Program (FMP)

 

If you're just starting your career, you'll be interested in our Entry-Level Leadership Programs. These programs allow you to rotate through several assignments within your chosen discipline. GE's Corporate Leadership Programs combine responsible and important on-the-job assignments along with formal classroom studies. The rotational assignments cut across different aspects of a GE business, providing you with broad and valuable experience in a relatively short amount of time.

The Financial Management Programme develops leadership and analytical skills through classroom training and key assignments. It is the main entry point for high potential individuals seeking a fast paced career in Finance. During your time on FMP, you will rotate in different areas of Finance providing you a solid foundation to develop your career on. The assignments will be real operational roles with defined deliverables, challenging and diverse experiences. We are looking for energetic, intelligent, driven people with high level of integrity, who enjoy working towards common goals in team environments.

In 2010 Budapest Bank - Member of a GE Captial Bank will start to recruit FMPs in Hungary.

FMP Overview:

Program Summary

  • Two-year program consisting of four six-month rotational assignments through different business areas of Banking Finance in Hungary and abroad.
  • On-the-job training in business dynamics, career strategies, communication skills, problem solving, decision making and project leadership
  • Hands-on experience may include: financial planning, accounting, operations analysis, auditing, forecasting, treasury/cash management, commercial/consumer finance and Six Sigma Quality
  • Combines course work, job assignments and interactive seminars to equip you with exceptional financial and business skills
  • Development of a strong financial foundation, project management skills and process knowledge that cuts across functions to support GE's boundariless culture

Candidate Criteria

  • Demonstrated interest or competency in Finance
  • Superior academic achievement, eagerness to take on diverse and challenging assignments
  • Demonstrated analytical approach to problem solving, strong team and communication skills
  • Relevant degrees in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration is preferred
  • Fluency in English and in Hungarian
  • Flexibility and mobility as travel is required. You will be required to take assignment in Europe
